2019 is the year of the 500th anniversary of the death of Leonard da Vinci, one of the most important artists’, most famous painter of the Mona Lisa… but not only this painting! That is why the curators of this exhibition want to show 150 pieces of art of many kinds referring to 5 of the masterpieces of the Florentine painter. Let’s discover it up to the 24th February 2020, only under reservation.
Let’s meet Leonard
88 designs, 10 paintings, 20 manuscripts, sculptures, pieces of art: the exhibition, dedicated to the whole career of the artist, is ambitious. The main aim is to show how important is Painting to Leonardo’s life, even if he also worked as an inventor, an engineer, an architect and a scientific. Even if The Mona Lisa is considered as the masterpiece, there are also the Virgin with rocks, Belle Ferronnière, Saint Jean Baptiste and Sainte Anne form a dazzling ensemble, which is particularly interesting to see replaced in the artistic and intellectual evolution of their Creator.
