A walk through Versailles Castle is a must do, as its’ marvelous architecture hides a lot of treasures. This summer, the “Great Musical Waters” an unforgettable fairy tale is back to delight your senses.

 

In the intimacy of “Le Roi Soleil”

This magnificent UNESCO classed heritage is one of the most beautiful architectural creations of French art during the XVIIth century. It celebrates the splendor of the kingdom and glory of Louis XIVth, also known as “The Sun King”.

We invite you to follow the animated tour with an audio guide. It begins with the most beautiful rooms of the castle, lounges and royal apartments and the unmissable Hall of Mirrors designed by Jules Hardouin-Mansart. So many places full of history that will have no secrets for you at the end of the visit.

 

Parks and gardens

Go on with the gardens and the parks designed and arranged by André Le Nôtre during the kingdom of Louis XIV. You will have the pleasure to walk freely along the paths, pools, the Grand Canal and admire the many masterpieces exposed throughout the park. Do not miss other buildings such as the Little Trianon, the Temple of Love and the Hamlet of Queen Marie Antoinette.

 

The Great Musical Waters

Until October the 28th the “Great Musical Waters” fill the castle park with melodies until the evening. The Neptune Basin comes alive every fifteen minutes with impressive combinations of water shoots flying out to the rhythm of a baroque and virtuous choreography adorned with wreaths and waterfalls.
